bin Laie und per ZUfall hier reingeschneit, weil ich mich über digitale FW informieren wollte.
Habe versucht, wenigstens ein ganz kleines bißchen der Diskussion zu verstehen.
Hier ein Hinweis auf die von einigen anscheinend ersehnte FW, den fand ich ebenfalls eher zufällig, weil mir deren Ribbon-HTs 8520 und 8526 angeboten wurden und ich mich darüber informieren wollte.

This unique Digital processor shows a major development within the PA market and is part of SA's innovational philosophy. The SA XP-1 FIR digital processor is a stereo 4-way loudspeaker controller with special digital FIR filtering to realize completely independent equalization of system amplitude, phase linearity and protection.
The SA XP-1 is designed for use with PA loudspeaker systems, especially the SA X 36 system. The special digital FIR filtering can realize a completely independent equalization of the system amplitude and phase (FIR = Finite Impulse Response). The SA XP-1 offers the possibility to achieve a so-called "linear phase" equalization which results in a constant group delay over the whole frequency range of the system.
An additional IIR digital filter section is included, providing user-definable equalization with real-time adoption of changed parameters. Four separate digital limiters are included in every single output channel (Peak limiter, RMS limiter, Thermo limiter and Excursion limiter).
All the important settings at system setup are done automatically by loading the stored parameter setup which is calculated individually for example the SA X 36 system.
All settings in the different menus of the XP-1 can be stored in a system setup.
Finally there is a possibility to maximize the system performance in a given installation by creating individual "room-specific" FIR filter setups which are able to consider nearly every desired room equalization.
